This week we begin a brand new series: Stuff He Actually Said - Walking through the words of Jesus with fresh ears and open hearts.

In Week 1, we look at why Jesus taught in parables (Matthew 13). Parables were more than simple stories they revealed the secrets of the Kingdom to those who were willing to hear and obey, while concealing truth from hardened hearts.

In this teaching we’ll discover:

• The purpose of Jesus’ parables
• How stories reveal AND conceal Kingdom truths
• Why obedience, not just hearing, makes the difference
• What it means to build your life on the rock of Christ
