Parent Resources

We are so glad to have the opportunity to minister to your child through our Children’s Ministry. It is our desire to partner with parents as we lay a spiritual foundation that may one day lead to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We also want to assure you that your child’s care is a top priority here at Dayspring.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where do I go to register and drop off my children for children's ministry?
    • Upon entering the main sanctuary doors (red brick building with glass doors facing Prospect Ave.) that can escort you to our north building, which is home to our children's ministry as well as Dayspring Christian School. There you will be greeted by our Kids in the Kingdom check-in team, who will help you register your child and get them to the right class!
  • What is the wellness policy?
    • Kids in the Kingdom strives to provide a healthy, clean environment for all children, so we ask you to keep your child home when you observe any of the following: Fever/Vomiting Discharge in or around the eyes Green or yellow runny nose Excessive coughing Diarrhea Questionable rash Any communicable disease For your child’s protection, we ask our caregivers to follow the same guidelines.
  • Do staff undergo background checks?
    • It is required that all personnel who have contact with children at Dayspring pass a federal background check.
  • What if my child has special needs?
    • If your child has a special need, allergy, dietary requirement, etc., please communicate that need to the Kids in the Kingdom check-in staff member so that info gets onto your child's tag. Please also communicate the need directly to the lead teacher of your child's classroom.
  • Can my child attend with their sibling even though they are in different classes?
    • Because our curriculum is adapted in each venue to best fit the age group being taught, we encourage kids to attend the service in their appropriate age venue. However, if a child is uncomfortable attending alone, they may attend service with a friend or family member; we just ask that both children attend the service for the youngest child’s age group. This allows both children to fully understand and engage in the lesson being taught. This is also up to the discretion of the teacher of the classroom.
  • Is there a way to find out what my child is learning on Sunday morning?
    • The lessons are regularly posted on the Facebook group for parents. Join our group on Facebook
